Tiger Teams · Procurement and vendor management

Start with a sprint.

Tiger Teams are small, specialist teams that take on one defined piece of procurement or vendor management work. Each sprint runs 4 to 8 weeks, with a fixed scope, a timeline and named deliverables, and it ends with a result you can use.

The four sprints

Pick the one that fits what is on your desk.

Each sprint is a small team on one defined piece of work, quick to start, and it ends with something you can use. You can run one, or run them one after another.

Sprint 01

4 to 6 weeks

Contract and Renewal Review

What we do
Review contracts across indirect spend, technology included, ahead of renewal.
You get
A contract register, a renewal calendar and negotiation priorities.

Start here if significant contracts renew in the next 12 to 18 months.

Sprint 02

6 to 8 weeks

End-to-End Sourcing

What we do
Scan the market, run the RFx, evaluate the bids and negotiate.
You get
A recommended partner and negotiated terms, for your approval.

Start here if there is a purchase nobody has the time to run.

Sprint 03

4 to 6 weeks

Vendor Governance Reset

What we do
Set up scorecards, a review cadence, and tracking of performance and cost.
You get
A working framework, with the first review already held.

Start here if vendors are in place, but there is no consistent way of managing them.

Sprint 04

4 to 6 weeks

Spend Baseline and Quick Wins

What we do
Analyze historical spend and contracts. You supply the data.
You get
A spend baseline, a category view and prioritized opportunities.

Start here if there is a savings target, and no agreed starting point.

Contract reviews cover indirect spend, technology included. Vendor governance can be set up for any scope of vendor management. For the spend baseline, you send us your historical spend data and contracts under agreed data-sharing and confidentiality terms.

How a sprint runs

From the first call to hand-over.

01

Scope

A short call to agree what the sprint covers, the dates, and the data we will need from you.

02

Start

A small, specialist team gets going quickly, with streamlined onboarding and contracting.

03

Run

We do the work and keep you informed in plain language on progress, cost and risk.

04

Hand over

Our own team checks the deliverables against the criteria agreed up front. You decide what happens next.

What you can count on

Each sprint comes with

  • A fixed scope and timeline, agreed before we start
  • Named deliverables, so you know what you will have at the end
  • Verification by our own team before anything is handed over
  • The decision staying with you

What we need from you

A little to get started

  • Your contracts and spend data, shared under agreed confidentiality terms, where the sprint calls for them
  • A named person who can agree the scope and make the decision at the end

Independent by design

Partners don’t pay us. We work for you, not for them.

Where it leads

Each sprint can stand alone, or lead on.

Procurement Office

For large programs and large spend, we run procurement end to end: the strategy, the sourcing, the contracts and the governance.

Ongoing vendor management

Keep the governance running after the sprint: regular reviews, scorecards, and tracking of performance, cost and budget.
